Jefferson Co. ARES on new repeater
JCARES has received permission from Steve Schaub W4PF to use his 146.880 repeater for our weekly nets and emergency comms. The decision to move came after problems arose during the 2009 Ice Storm from Jefferson County ARES trying to use the repeater at the same time as it's primary user, Clark County ARES/RACES. As a result of this conflict we determind a move was necessary. We thank John N9TV for allowing us on his repeater for these past 4 years and apologise for any inconvenience.
New E.C. For Jefferson County
Jefferson County ARES has a new Emergency Coordinator, Rickey Singleton KC4S. Rickeyhas been a member of JCARES for many years and has served as an Assistant District E.C.
Rickey replaces Charles Walz KI4NOC who had served as E.C. for about 2 months but had to step down for personal reasons.
We thank Charles for his service and welcome Rickey to his new position.
Jefferson County ARES Is Planning For The Future !
It will be some time before we begin work on the system and we'll need a lot of money to get it going.
